Dee L Baker 63 a custodian at First Baptist Church for 19 years died at 3 pm Thursday in a Baytown hospital. A resident of 231342 Carolina he had retired about four years. Survivors include widow Inger Marié Baker of Baytown son Harold L Baker of Texas City three sisters Ruby Hammond Pasadena Marie Johnson and C D Simmons Houston four grandchildren. Funeral at 10 am Saturday at Paul U Lee Funeral Home with Rev Robert M Cheek officiating burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Baker came to Baytown in 1938 from Denison.

If struck, about 14 Baytown workers and 15,000 district phones could face delays in maintenance, installation, and long distance calls. local calls remain unaffected.
