Lee College to unveil 50,000-square-foot McNair Center expansion
Lee College will celebrate a 50,000 square foot expansion of the McNair Center with a 5 to 7 p.m. grand opening on Thursday along Interstate 10. The project, a $12 million addition, adds machining millwrighting pipefitting and welding facilities to train students for high paying petrochemical and construction careers. The center supports ExxonMobil funded regional collaboration and Brookings’ praise for alumni earnings.

Women in Industry conference targets Gulf Coast women
The Community College Petrochemical Initiative hosts a daylong Feb 19 event at the Galvez Hotel in Galveston to recruit women into petrochemical jobs.
