The Interstate Commerce Commission approved increases for 17 railroads allowing Texas point rates to rise toward interstate levels. Increases take effect March 17, with three lines already charging 3.183 cents per mile Texas coach fares since 1962 while interstate fares have been 3.676 cents per mile.
