Longtime pastor Biddy retires after 40 years at Old River Baptist
Pastor Danny Biddy ends his 40 year ministry at Old River Baptist Church in Chambers County with a Sunday farewell. Wes Hinote will lead as pastor, a celebration runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 12948 FM 1409. Biddy remains active in ministry, sheriff chaplain duties, and writes his weekly Little Biddy Bits while continuing counseling and outreach work across the county.

Baytown Public Works approved a 265750 contract with Trafficware Group to install an adaptive traffic signal control system at eight intersections on Main Street from Highway 146 to Interstate 10. Robbery suspects captured after chase across Houston area
Officers from Harris and Chambers counties and Baytown police stopped a spree that included a gun. The driver exited with a pistol. deputies returned fire only at the vehicle, no injuries occurred. Three men Joshua Adams Kerry Raven and Draylynn Wright all from Channelview Houston were arrested and face aggravated robbery counts.
