Goose Creek CISD to name new elementary after former superintendent
Baytown widow Tommye Glynn Clark reacts with deep emotion as Goose Creek CISD designates a new elementary school for her husband Johnny Tee Clark Jr. who led the district from 1969 to 1985. The campus at 6033 N Highway 146 joins Bond funded projects including Dr. Antonio Banuelos and New Alamo Elementary. The opening is slated for August amid a $267.54 million bond program. Clark’s early career spanned Langtry Ozona and Ackerly before he guided Goose Creek CISD with in school suspension SAC and an extensive building drive.
