Baytown Council considers sales tax districts to boost safety funding
Baytown City Council proposed two CCPD and FCEMSD districts to collect one eighth cent sales tax each in the Harris County portion. Voter ballots would decide police and fire EMS funding, with temporary boards shaping budgets and May ballot preparation. The plan builds on a prior CCPD history and aims to cover public service costs for non residents using services.
