Barbers Hill approves new AV and coaching staff positions
Barbers Hill ISD board unanimously approved three new staff roles for the 2016-2017 year, adding a girls soccer coach, a boys soccer coach, and an audio and visual productions teacher. Superintendent Greg Poole says the post aims to create a vocational path in journalism and broadcasting, with plans to name the AV teacher soon and possibly run programs over summer. The district highlighted strong 2014-2015 STAAR results and state averages across grades.
