Crosby district okays price for Drew Intermediate renovations
Crosby school board set a maximum of 7.9 million dollars for renovations and additions at Drew Intermediate School as part of a bond project. The price could drop by 40 thousand to 155 thousand if the Municipal Utility District No. 30 upgrades water and sewer hookups or waives fees. The district aims to save about 19 thousand if the service fee is waived, with further savings if water pressure improves. The board approved the max price 6-0 and will send a letter to the utility district outlining concerns. Also, Ramona Merrill, Crosby High School journalism teacher, received a 2003 UIL excellence award for sponsoring.
