James Bond arrives Wednesday at Brunson Theater in Thunderball. The show features the Aston Martin DB3 with gadgets, a high budget underwater sequence, and Claudine Auger as Domino. The film is touted as the most lavish Bond production and a box office milestone.
Mrs. E A Milton Bay Stown Pilot Club chairwoman says eight hearing aids have been collected to aid indigent children and to supply spare devices for hard of hearing classes in Baxterown School District. Three aids in good shape are allocated to a child and to the hearing classes. The club notes the donated aids include spare parts and thanks contributors.
S. Sgt. James E. Beckworth, with 22 years in the U.S. armed forces, is assigned to the Baytown Army recruiting office after serving as recruiting publicity supervisor at the Army Recruiting Main Station in San Antonio. His career includes a three year tour with the Advanced Weapons Support Command in Pirmasenz Germany. He is a graduate of the 7th Army Noncommissioned Officers Academy in Munich and the U.S. Army Recruiting Lead School at Fort Benjamin Harrison Indiana. He and his wife Charlotte reside at 603 Littlewood Drive. The recruiting office is in the Federal building on Detex Street.
