Reading helps Babbitt grandmother learn to read
June Wallace of Babbitt Minnesota, age 62, learned to read through a Minnesota Literacy Council tutor program after lifelong illiteracy left her unable to read simple signs or stories. Tutors work one-on-one with adults using brief stories and workbooks to teach reading writing spelling and punctuation.
