Tucson Open cemented Crampton repeat as champion
Fred Marti of Baytown finished one stroke behind winner Bruce Campion in Tucson Open play at Arizona. Marti's 71 final round followed a Saturday 74, leaving him at 288 with a list of rivals including Miller, Eichelberger, Thompson and Jamieson. Crampton captured back to back titles after Phoenix Open, earning $30,000 and extending his two week total to $60,000 as Lee Trevino and other stars chased the purse.
