Mother of performing arts bench honors former LC professor
Lynn Woodward O Hagan, longtime Lee College English foreign languages and theater arts professor, will be honored with a memorial bench outside the Performing Arts Center. A 1:30 p.m. dedication precedes the unveiling, with the public invited. O Hagan joined LC in 1936, led the division, and was key to the college’s growth and drama education.

Man 23 charged in death of 2-year-old stepdaughter
Kristo pher James Redd, 23, of Winnie, faces capital murder charges in the death of his 2-year-old stepdaughter. Sheriff’s deputies say EMS and medical staff reported prior abuse. Redd, who fled the scene, was arrested and held on a 1 million dollar bond as deputies investigate. A second child was placed in protective custody. further charges may follow.
