Texas reps to boycott inauguration
U S Rep Al Green of Houston and Rep Joaquin Castro of San Antonio said they will skip President elect Donald Trump s inauguration in Washington. They join about 50 House Democrats nationwide in boycotting the swearing in with more Texan Democrats possible. Castro cited Trump s lack of respect for Americans and his attack on civil rights hero John Lewis as reasons for the protest. Green echoed the Lewis reaction as a factor in his decision.
