Baytown considers drilling overlay rules for Goose Creek Oil Field
Baytown P and Z recommends a drilling overlay district within Goose Creek Oil Field allowing drilling without a special use permit but still requiring a Chapter 62 permit. Outside the overlay, heavy industrial zoning plus a drilling special use permit would apply. A Jan 23 public hearing is planned with council deciding on ULDC and Chapter 62 changes by Feb 13.
