Baytown considers 10-foot annex strip along highways
Baytown City Council held a public hearing Thursday night on annexing a 10-foot land strip along FM 1405 FM 565 and State Highway 146 north from the U S Steel plant entrance to Interstate 10. No speakers appeared and three readings are required. The move would grant McKay Chemical Co and future industrial sites the same freight rate advantages as U S Steel under Baytown’s annexation strip.
