Police reported a Sunday string of thefts including a $15 phone card at Valero on Garth Road, about $13 in goods at Sears in San Jacinto Mall, and an 18 pack of beer at North Main and Massey Tompkins. A Ruger P95 pistol and electronics totaling $1,950 were stolen from a residence, with a TV/VCR combo valued at about $1,000 taken from 512 1/2 E Gulf Avenue after a suspect loaded it into a brown SUV.
Two robberies occurred with a Stop N Go crime at 11 58 a m Sunday on West Baker Road where 297 87 dollars were stolen. A 19 year old man was charged for attempting to steal 500 dollars at C O Market Street. Between 6 a m Sunday and 6 a m Monday Baytown police logged 127 calls including seven alarms four assaults and two robberies.
