Theft reported at two area worksites in Mont Belvieu
Mont Belvieu police logged two thefts. A construction firm on FM 565 reported welding leads and an industrial generator stolen from a machine last weekend, value 4800 dollars. A drilling company on Sun Oil Road said tools and batteries were taken from a workover rig sometime between December 23 and January 3, total loss 1200 dollars. Crime Stoppers number provided.

Five men charged in Baytown ATV theft ring investigation
Jefferson Cantrell, 24, identified as leader of a four man theft ring that sold stolen ATVs across Baytown and nearby areas. Also charged in Chambers County are Christopher Amos 18 Daniel Lucatero 19 Aaron Pena 19 and Joel White 21 with organized crime. Harris County charges pending. Chambers County Sheriff's Office aided the probe.

Baytown man re-arrested in September burglary
A 39 year old Baytown man was re-arrested by the Baytown Police Hot Spot unit around 3 30 p m Friday on a felony arrest warrant in connection with a September business burglary. He had been charged before and was sought for bond forfeiture. On Sept 4 someone broke into a storage shed at a business on South Alexander Drive stealing two tool boxes a roll of steel wire copper wire and mechanic tools. A witness noted a suspicious truck and captured the license number leading to the suspect. He was arrested within days of the crime and a new warrant was issued after he failed to appear in court in late November.

Mont Belvieu City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at City Hall 11607 Eagle Drive to discuss upgrading city computers to Microsoft Office 2010 Standard. They will also consider adopting Resolution No. 2012-001 to add Elizabeth Standifer as an authorized TexPool representative for the City.
