Tragic end ties mother and son in Baytown neglect
Baytown police found 86-year-old Marcella Reed dead in bed and her 54-year-old son Danny, malnourished and housebound, sitting in a living room chair amid years of garbage at 111 E. Texas Ave. Danny said he found his mother dead on Jan 2 after a fall. An aid described the family’s isolation and lack of insurance led to hospitalization for Danny, with Mrs Reed autopsied.
