Bulletin from Cleveland reports Mrs Richard A Sheppard senior mother of convicted wife killer Dr Samuel Sheppard died Friday in another son's home. Police say she killed herself with a gun and left a note whose contents were not released.
John H Wotinka 73 died Thursday at his home on 1222 Magnolia. Services at St Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Dennis Kennedy, burial at La Grange. Rosary Friday at Barthman Chapel. Retired farmer moved to Bartow 55 years ago. Survived by wife Anta Louise Wotipka. daughter Mrs. J C Hervey. three sons Alfsey H Albert J Jerome P all of Baytown. Also sisters Mrs Louise Suty Lae and Mrs Christine Horak. brother E D Wotipka. seven grandchildren one great grandchild. Pallbearers named.

In Pasadena Texas on January 7, a well-child clinic operated by Harris County for preschool children closed after doctors protested it as a form of socialized medicine. A second clinic for Latin American children stayed open. The closure followed a county plan to employ a social worker to screen families for private-pay options, due to budget limits.
