Baytown Hospital Opens Monoclonal Therapy Infusion Unit
Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital has opened an infusion unit on the third floor to administer Bamlanivimab under FDA EUA for high risk adults with mild to moderate COVID-19. Eligible patients include those 65 or older or with diabetes kidney disease cardiovascular disease COPD and other conditions. The therapy aims to prevent progression and hospitalization by blocking viral infection. The hospital is enforcing safety measures and provides outpatient and inpatient services during the pandemic.
