State senator seeks end to straight-ticket voting
San Antonio Republican Sen. Jeff Wentworth plans a second push to repeal straight-ticket voting at the January 13 legislative start. The move comes after Texans reached a ten year high in voters sticking to one party, with Nieto defending the practice as beneficial to both parties amid Democratic gains in urban counties like Harris and Dallas.
