Hartman bridge work slips to onetime event
State highway officials replace expansion joints on the Fred Hartman Bridge linking Baytown and La Porte. A 19 hour slowdown Friday is touted as the only incident in a three month project. Traffic detours and lane changes begin with the four lane passageways through the concrete divider, with two southbound lanes restored and two northbound lanes rerouted during the work.
