City Council Considers Oil Drilling Ordinance and Milk Standards
Middleton notes no decision yet on correcting an error as council weighs a strict Kilgore like oil permit ordinance. It would license and regulate oil or gas wells within city limits, require a 100 dollar permit, 25 thousand dollar bond, and set safety rules. Clerks study a milk quality ordinance with Sanitarian Muennink to inspect butterfat and bacteria. The council also revisits a garbage disposal tractor and shovel purchase after stalled bids.
