Baytown man charged with aggravated robbery with deadly weapon
A 20-year-old Baytown man identified as Christopher Martinez is jailed without bond in Harris County after an armed robbery at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at a Decker Drive apartment complex. The victim was backed by his girlfriend who notified 911 as Martinez fled in a green Honda Civic. Detectives recovered a live round in the car and no weapon, though a shooting occurred during the chase. Martinez had prior deferred adjudication for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Baytown launches curbside Christmas tree collection
Baytown has begun a two and a half week curbside tree collection running through January 18. Residents must place live trees at the curb by 7:30 a.m. Removing stands and decorations, trees will be recycled into mulch for city landscaping projects. Call Public Works at 281-420-5300 for details.

Four Baytown men arrested after alleged auto burglary
A 19-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor burglary of a motor vehicle charge after a husband spotted a suspect inside his wife’s car in the 3300 block of Rolling Brook Drive. The suspect fled in a black Ford Mustang and was followed to a Baker Road convenience store where police arrested him and three others in the Mustang for related offenses.
