Baytown motorcyclist dies in Highway 146 crash
A 22 year old Baytown man Nolan Rascoe died when his motorcycle left a curve and struck a pipe reinforced fence on Highway 146 near South La Porte. Police believe the crash occurred Sunday after he was last seen leaving a club Friday night. The medical examiner will determine the time of death. The Rascoe family had earlier reported a missing relative since May, with Texas Equusearch and volunteers searching the area. The story continues.

Baytown names two Citizens on Patrol Volunteers of the Year
Baytown City Council recognized Doyle Ives and Eugene Farek as Citizens on Patrol Volunteers of the Year for 2012. They received plaques at a December 13 City Hall meeting for hours of service that aided patrol officers and increased responsiveness while handling routine tasks. The Baytown Citizens on Patrol group, started in 2009, now has over 30 volunteers from the Citizens Police Academy and Alumni Association.
