Malenkov Urges Ban On Hydrogen Bomb In New Year Message

Moscow January 1 Premier Georgi Malenkov linked New Year greetings to the United States with a call for solemn and unconditional pledges against the use of atomic and hydrogen weapons. George Cleveland Connor of Mont Belview died at 68 after a brief illness. The 6-year old cottred pipelitter of Baytown, details unclear, died Thursday in John Staiy hospital Galveston. Body sent to Barthe man Funeral home for arrangements.

Father Of Four Baytonians Dies

W. A. Chatam, about 27, father of four Baytonians, died here early Friday. He had homes in Marsteall and visited Bayton frequently. Funeral services are set for Marshall Saturday at Calvary cemetery. His wife died July 4, 1962. Survived by nine children, including Baytonians Mra Crenshaw, Horace M. Chatam, Busene M. Chatam, and Goldman Chatam.

Three La Porte teens killed when their car struck a bridge railing will have funeral services Friday in La Porte and Houston area churches.
