Lyman a Battle Creek born man known for a remarkable garden in Lyman's community. He studied in Center Point Iowa and earned a public accounting degree at DePaul University. He worked as a traveling auditor for General Tire and Rubber in Texas before managing the Baytown synthetic rubber plant during World War II. He survived by wife a son and extended family. A Baytown Fire Department crew fought a small grass blaze near Garth Road Baptist Church.
