Bay Oaks Harbor residents applauded as the Baytown City Council unanimously approved a letter of intent to transfer the neighborhood water and sewer system from a receivership to the city. The move follows a year of discussions with the homeowners association and John Fultz, the state receiver. Fultz warned it could take up to a year for court and state agency approval, with additional time before service transfer completes.
The Goose Creek Citizens Advisory Committee endorsed final schematics for the district's third high school. The plan, funded by a $220.5 million bond approved in April 2005, targets a June 2006 start with 1,800 student capacity in Phase I and 2,400 when Phase II completes in 2010. The board will review March 6 before construction begins, aided by SHW Group's Matt Brown.
