Harris County to press for Highway 73 bridge plan

Rites set for George Spruce at Grace Methodist Church
Funeral services for George Hamilton Spruce Ti will be held at 2 pm Sunday at Grace Methodist Church with Rev M S Jordan officiating. Burial follows at Cedar Bayou Methodist Cemetery under Earthman Funeral Home direction. Spruce, Baytown resident 32 years, died Friday at his son in law and daughter’s home after heart ailment. He was a retired Baytown Refinery employee with 26 years service. Surviving are two daughters, a sister, two brothers, and four grandchildren. Memorials may go to Grace Methodist Church memorial fund. Shrine Show Tonight. The second performance of the Shrine club benefit show for crippled children will be staged at 730 pm Saturday in Robert E Lee high school auditorium. After the show a dance will be held at Baytown Community House with music by Lee Waters orchestra. Pallbearers listed and honorary pallbearers named from Baytown Refinery personnel.
