What to Bring to the Polls for Voting in Harris County
Voter Registration Certificate or acceptable alternatives such as a Texas driver license. You may bring the League of Women Voters guide or other written material but cannot display campaign material in the polling place. Include Precinct Number from the VRC and note address changes with the Harris County Voter Registrar at 1001 Preston.
Voters Guide Holds Statements From Many Candidates
All candidates in each race answered a questionnaire printed in the guide giving politicians a chance to explain in their own words why they should be elected. The Houston Area group gathered local responses while the state group covered statewide races. Sen Kay Bailey Hutchison and Gov Rick Perry did not respond to the request. The omission, though noted, does not diminish the guide’s overall breadth and usefulness.
