Local Baytown Benefit Hauls In 38000 For Hannah Harpster
Baytown and surrounding areas joined Hannah Harpster’s benefit barbecue and live auction at the Baytown VFW Hall on February 7. About 1,500 plates were served and more than 250 auction items donated by area businesses, raising nearly $38,000 for Hannah’s experimental Maryland program. A few local shops contributed, but many Baytown businesses did not step up, prompting reflection on community support and a pledge to patronize those who do.
