Baytown housing plan stalls amid opposition over four-bedroom units
The Baytown City Council heard a proposal for an eight acre affordable housing project near Baytown Junior School with a 1.6 acre buffer. Presley argued for four bedroom units amid a 22 name waiting list, but several council members and Lakewood residents opposed citing property values and saturation. The council approved a resolution opposing future low income projects, and Presley’s plan did not go to a vote.
