Goose Creek Memorial High School Winter Guard, in its inaugural year, earned first and second place in early competitions after transitioning from the Patriot Marching Band. Under Band Director Richard Lewis the team practices daily and twice weekly after school, with notable finishes at Morton Ranch High and Clear Springs High later this season.

Baytown Parks and Recreation moves the Daddy and Me Dance to Friday February 26 at 7 pm at the Baytown Community Center 2407 Market Street due to a prior power outage. Attendees must present the original or numbered ticket at entry to receive a voucher for admission or may get a refund by returning tickets starting February 12. For details call 281 420 6597.
