Plan to ease Channelview growth with temporary sewage tanks
Business leaders in Channelview back a temporary fix to curb stalled growth. Houston bans new commercial builds due to a crowded sewage system. They propose temporary package plants costing less than the main expansion and built in about a year to store and treat excess sewage until the northeast plant expansion completes in five years. About 50 to 60 members will attend a Houston City Hall hearing at 10 a.m. Thursday.
