Missing worker found dead at Enterprise facility explosion
A 43 year old contract employee, Rick Shaw, was killed in the explosion and fire at Enterprise Products West storage facility in Mont Belvieu. Turner Industries and Enterprise confirmed the worker’s identity and death in statements. The facility remains the site of the fatal incident with follow up inquiries ongoing.

City council approves long term fire coverage deal
Baytown City Council voted to extend firefighting coverage for unincorporated areas north of the city for 22 months to allow creation of an emergency management district.
