The win lifts Sterling to 1-1-1 in league play and 3-5-2 overall as they prepare to host West Brook Tuesday.
Barbers Hill ranked No. 3 in Class 4A pre season poll. All-state pitcher Chandler Hall returns as leaders guide a young lineup replacing five starters. Hall 26-5 last season leads a pitching staff including Whitney Miller and Taylor Barnett while Rebekah Nicholson takes catcher. Second base contenders include Jana Creel Alexa Palomino and Leah Trousdale. Jenel Gilmore set to replace Lexi Stephens at shortstop as the team rebuilds for the season.
