Baytonians Narrow Escape in Fatal Channelview Crash
In a three lane Market Street Road head on collision near Baytown, Harold Frank Barnett a Channelview pipeliner died at the scene. Mrs Edison Owen 512 West Norman suffered a broken right forearm and was treated and released. Their baby Terence 13 months had bruises and abrasions while Charissa 4 and David 512 were uninjured. The Owens were en route to Baytown and Barnett to Greens Bayou. Barnett belonged to Pipefitters Local 211 and Owen worked in the Baytown refinery rigging department.

Funeral services for Harry Dunkerly 85 were held at 11 am Monday at Grace Methodist Church with Rev. Jordan of Grace Church officiating. Dunkerly died Saturday at his home 211 South Gaillard in Baytown after 27 years as a blacksmith foreman at Baytown Refinery. Survived by wife, son and daughter, five grandchildren, three brothers and other relatives.
