Green tours Texas Ave. project with Congressman Green
Congressman Gene Green, who helped secure funding for a Texas Avenue block upgrade, toured the site with Baytown Municipal Development District members on a cold Thursday. The four month project, started after the new year, will rebuild street and sidewalks between Jones and Gaillard, replacing underground utilities and widening sidewalks to 16 feet with landscaping, benches, and decorative lights. Mayor Stephen DonCarlos noted engineering work is complete for the full stretch.
