Distributive Education students from Ross Sterling High School qualified for state competition at the district meet last Saturday. Tim Stone, son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Stone of 1115 S Shepherd, qualified in sales demonstration, and Jan Dahlquist, daughter of Mr and Mrs C J Dahlquist of 2502 Cedar Bayou Lynchburg Road, qualified in public speaking.
Crosby school board moves toward a Barrett Station project after a three hour meeting. They approved a 10 acre site purchase contingent on seller confirmation and consider adding classrooms at Crosby High or a broader facilities plan, with a possible auditorium and track upgrades. The board aims to avoid bond funds and resumes discussion with architect Matt Howard.
Dr. Richard Strahan of Lee College is named to a new 21 member Texas State Advisory Council on Vocational Education.
