Tragic Christmas Crash Ends in Padilla Death
Anthony Padilla, 25, of Baytown, a native of New Mexico, died after police say he attempted to flee an accident scene on Christmas Night. A Seabrook family saw a car blocking three lanes on Highway 146 before Padilla struck their vehicle, spoke only two words then fled, backing into the family car and running a red light. Witnesses alerted 911 as Padilla’s erratic driving continued and he struck a light pole on North Main before paramedics transported him to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital.
