Polar Bear Challenge at Mo Ranch draws chilly fundraisers
A January event near Hunt on the Guadalupe River invites entrants to slide 115 feet into cold water to raise pledges or pay an entry, benefiting a local non profit. The piece ties the Mo Ranch activity to similar polar plunges worldwide and recalls a personal college-era memory of a late night plunge with friends. Jane Howard Lee of Mont Belvieu is named as a former Sun reporter.
