Recliner Ring Mystery Returns After Ten Years
Morgan Hochenauer discovers a diamond studded University of Houston at Clear Lake class ring hidden in a recliner. The ring, with initials JVC and a 1980 graduation date, is traced to Joe Carothers of Highlands, who had replaced the ruby and given the ring to a late friend. The university facilitates the reunion, underscoring sentimentality and the ring’s accidental journey through time.
