Baytowns News reports Robert E. Lee High School’s Project Graduation committee cannot host the graduating seniors at San Jacinto Mall for the 2007 event. Chair Rick Detwiler notes mall management said they cannot accommodate the tradition this year, leaving the committee to find an alternative venue for the popular hangout and celebration.
Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 922 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 912 sent over 155 greeting cards to local men and women in the Army Navy Marines Air Force and Coast Guard. VVA vice president Warren G. Fitts recalls receiving cards and letters during his service and praises Sterling High School Key Club for going above the call as families and volunteers express appreciation.
