Mont Belvieu officials expect construction to begin in April on a $3 million city complex at Eagle Drive and Farm Road 565. The nine month project will include a two floor city hall, a police and courts building, and a museum and senior citizens facility with confirmed layouts and site drawings presented to the council by architect Joe Santopetro.

Voyager ends historic flight with safe desert landing
At Edwards AFB California the Voyager completed a nonstop unrefueled round the world trip nine days after takeoff. The lightweight tri fuselage craft covered about 25000 miles, surviving storms and fuel worries, with chase planes guiding its descent to a dry lake bed amid cheering spectators.
