Rebels ride nine-game win streak into tough Region XIV stretch
Lee College Rebels, now 10-4 and 3-0 in Region XIV, look to sustain form after an 111-76 win over Baton Rouge Community College led by guards Karen Brown with 28 points and Roc Johnson 27. Coach Roy Champagne warns of five brutal games in 12 days starting with undefeated Tyler Junior College, calling for improved defense and consistent energy. Brown, a Tulsa transfer, leads region in 3-point percentage and 11.2 points per game as teammates Johnson, Farmer, and Chester help drive a deeper bench and aggressive play. Suspensions of Edwards and McCormick add to a fragile but hungry lineup as they prepare for the challenging road slate.
