Two Fishermen's Bodies Found In Chambers Lake
Pearland men Phil Garner age 39 and Glenn Martin age 46 were found drowned in a man made lake near Old Lost and Trinity River bridges. Rescue workers recovered Martin at 11 50 am and Garner at 2 57 pm. Whiteacre told investigators he saw the boat upside down and tried to reach his companions after they went missing Saturday night. The lake was formed during landfill work for State Highway 73. The bodies were taken to Pace Stancil Funeral Home and Martin Funeral Home in Alvin.
