Houston Methodist leads vaccine effort in Baytown and region
Houston Methodist has distributed more than 4 373 vaccines across its system and over 530 at Baytown as health care workers in direct patient contact receive the shot. On December 16 Baytown saw 205 employees vaccinated, with officials noting the vaccine’s 95 percent effectiveness in trials and promising safer care as supply expands. Dr. Shawn Tittle, Baytown Hospital CMO, calls the vaccine extraordinarily effective and safe and urges public vaccination when available.
