Baytown City Manager and Judge Get Raises After Review
Baytown City Council approved a 13 percent raise for City Manager Bob Leiper and a 6 percent raise for Municipal Court Judge Julie Escalante after closed executive sessions and public votes. Leiper’s salary rises from 183,780 to 207,780 and Escalante’s from 101,964 to 108,082, effective Jan. 3. Leiper plans to retire Jan. 31 but will remain as city manager beyond that date.
