Pickle Celebrates Victory in LBJ District

J J Pickle won re election in President Johnsons old district and called his family to join the victory cheers at campaign HQ in Austin. He shouted for his dad J B Pickle and his wife and daughter to come forward as about 200 supporters cheered.

Retarded Children Group Joins JFK Memorial Fund

Baytown Council for Retarded Children affiliated with state and national groups set up Texas and National Association memorial funds for John F Kennedy. Funds, raised by Austin children and later others, will support a permanent scholarship and research fund to aid education and care for mentally retarded individuals. Donations to Texas fund go via Baytown council to Austin. national fund send grants to the NARC Research Fund in New York.
