City annexes portion of Helmerich and Payne plant site
Baytown expands by annexing 3.6 acres of a 15 acre Helmerich and Payne natural gas plant near Decker Drive. The city council approved the final reading to annex 24 percent of the industrial property, with the remaining portion staying in the industrial district. The 15 acre tract was conveyed by Humble Oil and Refining Co. to the University of Oklahoma Foundation, Inc. by deed dated June 26, 1964.
